The Hamlet of Sangudo, was incorporated to Town status in 1937 but dissolved it in 2007 and returned back to Hamlet status. With a population of over 300 people, Sangudo has multiple businesses, amenities and recreational facilities. Our Hamlet is the seat of Lac Ste. Anne County, with the County office and friendly staff that can answer all your important questions, being located right on main street. Sangudo is home to David Ovans Elementary School, K - 5, and the Sangudo Jr./Sr. High School 6 - 12, starting 2010 - 2011 school year. The Jr./Sr. High has the public library as well, with high speed access for the computers.

Community living is what Sangudo is all about! This Hamlet has pulled together to put up public parks and help out families and neighbours when needed. The spirit goes on in the many organizations that are dedicated to beautifying our County, preserving our history, and planning a brilliant future for our children. Being a family orientated community, Sangudo offers a newly added playground with skateboard park convienentely located in the community sports grounds. 2 baseball diamonds and the large arena are also located at the sports grounds right along side the Sangudo Speedway Race Track and Sangudo Riverside Campground.

Sometimes you just have to be all about cars! The Sangudo Speedway Race Track is quite well known for the races it hosts. The atmosphere becomes electric and the crowd goes wild as they root for their favorites on the track. Join in the fun by entering your stock car or truck or watch the excitment from the stands.

Our lovely Riverside Campground is nestled alongside the Pembina river, in a perfect little treed valley. Relax to the sounds of song birds and the ripple of the water as it glides by your campsite, and having the playground for the kids nearby adds laughter to the air! Downtown Sangudo is a short stroll away for any forgotten items, or to enjoy a meal you didn't have to cook yourself. This is a great spot to spend time with the family so come out and enjoy.
